Frequently Asked Questions

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know you. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, what you would like to focus on, and how we can support your goals. It is also a chance for you to ask questions and get a sense for how we work. There is no pressure, we move at your pace and build trust over time.

Our rates are as follows:

• Individual Therapy (60 minutes): $160 per session

• Individual Therapy (90 minutes): $240 per session

• Adolescent Therapy (60 minutes): $160 per session

• Couples Therapy (60 minutes): $200 per session

• Family Therapy (60 minutes): $200 per session

Each session is one hour in total—50 minutes are dedicated to therapy, with the remaining 10 minutes reserved for clinical documentation. Fees are discussed in advance, and a limited number of sliding scale spots may be available.

If you are unsure about getting started, we may offer a brief initial phone call to answer your questions. This is not a therapy session, but a chance to discuss your goals and determine whether our practice is a good fit for your needs.

No, psychotherapy services provided by Registered Social Workers are exempt from HST.

We require at least 42 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 42 hours’ notice, or missed sessions will be billed at the full session rate. This policy helps us manage time effectively and ensures availability for all clients seeking care.

Many extended health insurance plans in Ontario cover services provided by Registered Social Workers (RSWs). We recommend checking with your provider to confirm that your plan includes coverage for therapy with an RSW who holds a Master of Social Work (MSW).

Your privacy is a top priority for our practice. All sessions are confidential and conducted according to the professional and ethical standards of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). We use secure, encrypted platforms for virtual therapy. Information shared in therapy will only be disclosed in situations where we are legally required to do so, such as concerns of serious harm to self or others.
